Grand Finale of Imam Ali’s Birhtday held in Kano

Kano city central Friday Mosque premises was beautified on Saturday 29th Rajab, 1437 (7th May, 2016) to house the grand finale of the annual mauludin Amerul Muminin , Imam Aliy bin Abi Talib (AS) organized by the Youth forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.

Imam Aliy (AS) was born on 13th Rajab and members of the youth forum in Kano has organized and held Imam Aliy (AS) maulud in fifteen different location within Kano zone of the Islamic Movement in both Urban and Rural settlement extoling Virtues, Kindness, and many other examplanary character worthy of emulation of Imam Aliy (AS), with Saturday’s maulid being the grand finale.

Alh Ado the chairman of Kano Youth forum gave an introductory speech mentioning briefly the forums activities, and tasks they intend to achieve. He also mentioned the fatherly advices and counseling Shaheed Muhammad Mahmoud Turi gave towards the activities of the forum emphasizing that they can’t forget and will always uphold his advices.

Mal Musbah Shaikh Yusuf Makwarari was guest speaker at the occasion. He extolled Ahlul Bait (AS) and their role in the Ummah and showed his surprise that a section of Muslim do not uphold Ahlul Bait (AS) despite Qur’anic injunctions and Prophetic Sayings and castigating followers of Ahlul Bait (AS) while on the other hand upholding those that have been mentioned in the Quran to have gone astray and upholding them as role models.

Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir Koki the special guest of honour encouraged Muslim to emulate Amerul Muminin (AS) way of life, explaining how Imam Aliy’s way of life has practicalized Al-Quran and Sayings of our Noble Prophet (SAWA). Mal Sunusi gave examples of Imam Aliy as a Leader, Administrator, Husband, Father, Relation, a member of a community and many more.

Mal Sunsui also reiterated the Demand for the unconditional release of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) stating no amount of force, oppression and tyranny will make us derail from this noble part and shall take all necessary step towards seeing our leader Shaikh Zakzaky (H) is released and justice is achieved.

In this year’s maulud and media contribution competition, the panel of judges announced Naibawa/Kura zone as 1437 Champoins, With Gwammaja/Kazaure as Second and Tudun Wada/Birnin Kudu as third with Mal Sunusi handing over the completion cups to the winners.
