Sheikh Zakzaky (H) has announced plan to launch a grand appeal fund to assist victims of Governor Alu Magatakarda Wammako’s atrocities in Sokoto.
Sheikh Zakzaky (H) made the announcement at this year’s Yaum Shuhada (Martyrs’ Day) commemoration, held at the Baqiyyatullah Hussainiyyah, Zaria, Saturday.
He said, victims of the atrocities gallantly released from different prison custody, needed financial assistances to resume their lost businesses and re-build their destroyed residences to fully stand on their feet.
He further stated that, the appeal fund hopefully to be launched early next year, will begin collecting donations in earnest to fast track the process of collection and implementation.
Sheikh Zakzaky (H) therefore appealed to Brothers to make adequate preparation towards the launching, as enough notice was given. “We expect reasonable donation on that day, save towards the day, if not for anything but to assist them and disappoint the enemy by showing them that these people are loved. Therefore give our best, so that your name will be raised here and above”, he added.
