Funeral of Martyrs Killed by Gov Elrufai

On Friday the 24th of Shaban 1444 (17th of March 2023) the funeral prayer and burial of 4 out of 6 martyrs killed by Gov. Nasir Elrufai took place. The prayer was held in Kaduna and the bodies were taken to the Darur Raham cemetery in Zaria.

The activity was attended by hundreds of people including the family members of the martyrs, friends, and members of the general public.
Six brothers were gunned down by a combined team of men of police and soldiers in Rigasa junction, Kaduna state on Thursday the 16th of March 2023 under the order of Nasir Elrufai, the Kaduna state Governor. Manu sustained injuries at varying degrees receiving treatment.
The Brothers were staging a peaceful Pro sheikh Zakzaky protest calling for the full freedom of Sheikh Zakzaky to attend to medical treatment abroad following the seizure of the Sheikh’s travel documents by oppressive regime of Muhammad Buhari. Such peaceful protests have been taken place for years in various cities including the recent one in the Federal capital Abuja.
More deaths were also reported following a sporadic attack by the securities in some neighborhoods in Kaduna metropolis. The figure of the people killed in those neighborhoods cannot be ascertained as commuters were affected. However, the figure was put to 15 people.
