Peaceful free Zakzaky protest in Abuja today Tuesday the 22nd of October 2019 calling for the unconditional release of Sheikh Zakzaky. The Peaceful protests will continue until Buhari regime release the leader, his wife and hundreds others from detention. It is not the matter of dialogue as there is no reason for that.
The Leadership of the Movement had never seek dialogue in the past because it had always been the victim of crackdown and persecutions at various times. How can a victim seek for negotiation!!? When the former military regime decided to release the leader during his last detention some years ago, it was the regime which sent selected individuals and seek negotiation. It is to be noted that most of catchy headlines and captionsby some newspapers are sometimes misleading or used to suit their interest. Mallam Yakubu Yahaya Katsina, in the interview he gave to newsmen, did not say that the Movement seeks for dialogue because he clearly knew that followers of the Movement are victims, he said " ..we want clearly tell the world that killing of adherents of a religion does not bring end to it, it only makes it stronger…. he added that " one cannot use force to end an ideology, it only requires sitting down together to find solutions, this is what normally happens in other countries with sensible leadership. However, this Nigeria I don’t know which type of country it is, it does not obey Laws of Allah, it does not even follows its own rules of law…..’ when asked about dialogue, he said ‘..anybody who seek for it cannot be denied as the door is open, the Movement does not close its door.’ While the position of the Movement in its activities cannot be compromised.
