The continued Friday Free Zakzaky rally, like in other cities in the world, was also held in Kano Nigeria at Fagge Friday mosque, Friday 11th Jimadal Thani 1437 (February 19th, 2016) with those in attendance demanding for the unconditional release of the the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria
Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, detained by the Nigerian government for more than 65days.
In part of his speech at the rally, Mal Sunusi Abdulkadir Koki, stresses the value of upholding human rights and dignity of every citizen of a
Nation. He said the world witnessed how the Nigerian military under Major Gen Tukur Burutai has authorized and supervised the
12th-14th December, 2015 Zaria massacre, while the government of Gen (rtd) Muhammad Buhari is aware of the condition of the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) and his followers. Despite this Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) has today been prevented due meeting and consultations with his family, lawyers and followers.
Mal Sunusi also reiterated that every bonifide citizen has the right to be seen by his families and those he wants to see and be seen with,
amongst whom include his lawyers and solicitors who have been denied access to Shaikh Zakzaky (H).
He also pointed out since these rights have been denied, his followers unequivocally stated that they are ready to come out en
mass to protest and demand these rights.
