Thousands in the central city of Kano, Nigeria came out to show solidarity with members of the IMN calling for the unconditional release of its leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky after the Friday prayers May 5th, 2017.
The protest march along Murtala Muhammad way carrying placards calling for the release of Shaikh Zakzaky (H) who has been in the government custardy after the Zaria December 12-14Th, 2015 massacre that saw more than 1000 members killed, injured or missing.
Mal Abdullah Muhammad a protester has expressed with dismay, the failing of the Govt to comply with the court rulling as passed by Justice Kolawole Federal court to release Of Shaikh Zakzaky since December 2016, payment of #50 million fine and building an accommodation in any location in Nigeria.
Shaikh Zakzaky and his wife Malama Zenatuddeen Ibraheem have been ill and medical personnel taking care of their medication have called for additional specialized Doctors to see to their health or to be taken abroad to see Doctors.
The protest march was closed by a closing dua after a visit to some martyred members of the movement at Kofar Mazugal cemetery
