Four (4) Years Anniversary of the Brutal Slaughter of 1000+ Innocent Children, Women & Men in Nigeria

By Haroun Elbinawi
On 12th-14th December, 2015, President Buhari sent the Nigerian army to the ancient city of Zaria where they brutally slaughtered 1000+ innocent children, women and men in less than 72 hours.

The London-based Amnesty International released a comprehensive report of what was unquestionably a brutal and inhuman genocide on the minority Shia community in Nigeria. The report, "Unearthing the truth:Unlawful killings and mass cover-up in Zaria", contains shocking eyewitness testimony of large-scale unlawful killings by the Nigerian military and exposes a crude attempt by the authorities to destroy and conceal evidence.

Mass slaughter of hundreds of men, women and children by soldiers in Zaria and the attempted cover-up of this crime demonstrates an utter contempt for human life and accountability, said Amnesty International as it publishes evidence gathered on the ground revealing how the Nigerian military burned people alive, razed buildings and dumped victims’ bodies in mass graves.

“The true horror of what happened over those two days in Zaria is only now coming to light. Bodies were left littered in the streets and piled outside the mortuary. Some of the injured were burned alive,” said Netsanet Belay, Amnesty International’s Research and Advocacy Director for Africa.

After the brutal slaughter of 1000+ innocent and defenseless civilians, a massive Cover-up began to encapsulate the monstrous evil and extreme barbarism of the Nigerian army.

"After the incident the military sealed off the areas around al-Zakzaky’s compound, the Hussainiyya and other locations. Bodies were taken away, sites were razed to the ground, the rubble removed, bloodstains washed off, and bullets and spent cartridge removed from the streets." – Amnesty International

Today marks exactly #1462Days Since the inhuman #ZariaGenocide where:

 548 men murdered
 297 women murdered
 193 children murdered
 23 pregnant women murdered
39 Shia families wiped out from existence

The murderous Nigerian army burnt survivors alive. They buried innocent children alive in mass graves. They shot pregnant women in their stomach thus executing the Zionist murderous formula of "Two-In-One". The Nigerian army screaming "No Shia in Nigeria" attacked and bombed the Iconic Zaria Husseiniya, a religious site, and killed hundreds of Worshippers. The Nigerian army saw rooms close to the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky full of women and children, they looped grenades inside the rooms. They burnt the residence of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky with him and his family inside. Do not Ask me how they were saved by God! The God that saved the original Ibraheem (as) from a blazing fire!

The Zaria genocide was not just an isolated incident, it was monstrous evil imperialist agenda to kill Sheikh Zakzaky and all the leading lights of the peaceful Islamic Movement in Nigeria and destroy the Movement.

The brutal slaughter of the innocent did not stop in Zaria, the Nigerian army and police attacked #ArbaeenWalk mourners in Kano in 2016 where they slaughtered dozens that included 8 months-old infant, Zaynab. The elite presidential guard attacked ArbaeenWalk mourners in Abuja in 2018. The US-based New York Times captured the #AbujaShiaMassacre in an 8 minutes video. Buhari’s elite presidential guards were seen using the heavy duty -55mm caliber ammunition to murder peaceful mourners on the streets of Abuja.

Dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters, to this day no single person arrested for the heinous crimes and atrocities of the Saudi-sponsored Zaria genocide. The genocidal Buhari gang of wicked mass murderers abducted the survivors and wickedly framed them with murder! A competent court in Kaduna freed 100 survivors and dismissed the fabricated trump-up charges but these bloodthirsty Wahhabi barbarians still framed Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky with the same trump-up charges after spending more that 2 years in their illegal and unlawful detention.

On a Final note, the families of the victims of the Zaria genocide are still waiting for justice and the remains of their loved ones buried in the multiple Shia mass graves in Nigeria.
