ECIMN Organizes Capacity Utilization Seminar for Students of Foreign Universities

Education Committee of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (ECIMN) has organized capacity utilization seminar for students of foreign universities. The seminar entitled Capacity Utilization: Interactive Session with Students of Foreign Universities was conducted on Saturday 22 – Sunday 23 July, 2017 at Al-Markazul Islamiy, Kano, Nigeria.

 At the seminar, students of universities of Iran, Lebanon, Ghana, and Sudan have participated in the Seminar.

The aim of the seminar is to interact with students of foreign universities in order to discuss Islamic values, responsibilities of the students in developing the Islamic Movement in particular and the society in general as well as pointing out expectations of the Islamic Movement on the students.

The first lecture of the seminar entitled Students of Foreign Universities: Values, Responsibly and Expectations of the Society was presented by Malam Ibrahim Akeel followed by discussions on the lecture by Associate Professor Isah Mshegaru, and Sheikh Hamza Imam. The lectures presented in the programme include State of Fudiyyah Schools by Dr Nura Ahmad Azare; Students of Foreign Universities: Career Prospects and Challenges in Nigeria by Nuruddeen Musa Mafara. Similarly, some selected participants of the seminar that are studying in Universities of Iran, Lebanon, Ghana and Sudan also made presentations on educational system in the countries.

While delivering the closing lecture, Dr Sanusi Abdilqadir and Sheikh Yakubu Yahaya Katsina, urged the participants and organizers of the seminar to collaborate in developing strategies and programmes that will improve education in the movement.
