“If what I read about the Prophet’s Pure Progeny is right, and I am convinced beyond reasonable doubt it is; for I know the books cannot lie, so also the great Islamic scholars who wrote them, then the divine status of the Prophet’s Progeny is indisputable. Were I to convert to Islam, I will never dispute the status of the Ahlul Bayt”.
These were the words of Pastor Yohanna Buru of the Evangelical Church, Kaduna as a guest speaker at the on-going series of Maulud celebration (birthday) of Fatimah Zahra (AS) daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (S) organized by the Ameerul Mumineen(AS) area of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Kaduna, Thursday.
Expounding the Ayat Tatheer (Qur’an 33:33), Pastor Buru said, the verse was very explicit on the exemplary status of the Ahlul Bayt, adding that he had read extensively and with objective mind on the Prophet’s Progeny and the calamity that befell them after the death of Prophet Muhammad, and therefore came to the conclusion that some section of the Muslim Ummah had betrayed the trust left behind by the Prophet of Islam.
He said, “I read that your Prophet left behind two great weighty trusts for you, the Book of Allah and the Ahlul Bayt. I know, and I am convinced this is true. Then why hold one and discard the other? We Christians look upon you for guidance and explanation of things, why then hold back important information such as this?” He however commended members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the spiritual guidance of Sheikh Zakzaky for organizing events aimed at creating awareness on the real message of Islam to the world.
Commenting on the personality of Fatimah Zahra (AS), daughter of the Holy Prophet (S), Pastor Buru said, she is one great lady the world will never reproduce, going by the historical narratives in Qur’an and ahadith. He lamented over the unfortunate persecution she suffered after the death of her father, and the denial of her right of inheritance, Fadak.
The Christian clergy called on Muslims to unite and hold unto the Ahlul Bayt to avoid confusion and going astray, saying the calamities befalling Muslims today is as a result of discarding one of the twin trusts left behind by Prophet Muhammd (S), who are the Ahlul Bayt.
Another speaker, Hujjatul Islam wal Muslimeen, Dr. Muhammad Salah Umar Rodije from Republic of Niger spoke extensively on the Ahlul Bayt and Shi’a creed in Qur’an and Sunnah, with clear proofs to buttress his point.
He called on members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria to adhere strictly to guidance being offered by Leader of the Movement, His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, which he pointed out is line with the teachings of the Ahlu Bayt (AS), so as not to betray the trust left behind by the Holy Prophet (S).
Also speaking at the occasion, Malam Isma’eel Kwarni, also from Republic of Niger expounded on the unmatched status of Sayyidah Zahra (SA), her husband, Ali (AS) and her unsoiled descendants.
Cakes were cut as mark of honor on the birthday of Sayyidah Zahra (SA), while food items were distributed to the needy in her honor.
