DAY 4 OF ASHURA MAJALIS IN KADUNA: Islam in Nigeria Had Been Abandoned Since During First African Scramble by White Men–Sheikh Dr. Musa Tanimu

Sheikh Musa Tanimu is a prominent Sunni Scholar from Tijjaniyya Sufi order, chief Imam, U/Rimi central Mosque and former lecturer in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He was the guest at the 4th day Ashura Majalis in Kaduna. He speaks on the theme: "The need for Islam and Muslims’ reawakening in Nigeria". He delivered his speech on Thursday the 6th of Oct. 2016

Sheikh Musa Tanimu began his lectures by tracing the episode of Karbala tragedy. He explained that, what befell the progeny of the Holy prophet at the plain of Karbala, 61 years after Hijrah was an old-aged plan to eradicate Islam and posterity of the Holy prophet. He acknowledged that Islam was established by the Holy Prophet despite series of attempts by its enemy since during the Prophet’s era. He added that, Islam at all epics of history is been engineered by internal and external enemies who had been living no stone unturned to suppress it, but all used to went in vain as a result of Allah’s promise for Islamic domination across the globe.

The cleric traced the coming of British in Nigeria. He acknowledged that, before the coming of white men in 1903, Nigeria is been ruled under the reformed Islamic state, established by late Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi. On the scramble of British in 1903, they subdued the Islamic State of the 18th century reformer Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi, discarded the Holy Qur’an and bewildered the path built and left by Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi. They ruled Nigeria for nearly 60 years and finally handed its leadership under their nurtured set of people. A faction of people that has no concern with the affairs of humanity nor religious affairs. They are set of human being nurtured and inculcated with complex form of leadership, according to the speaker. This is the beginning and why Islam and Muslim Ummah was subjected to a critical situation.

Emphasizing the dejected state of Islam and Muslim in the Islamic World today, the speaker expounded the way and manner in which any faction of Muslims that stand firm to reform the Islam, are been considered as fanatics. The worst and most sad part of it is attribution to terrorism by the World Mongers who their acts vividly proved them the real terrorists and menace to the existing peace of the universe.

Speaking on Zaria massacre, the speaker described Sheikh Ibraheem as a leader on the footprint of ancient Prophets of Allah, therefore, he must be faced with hatred, torture, accusations and all form of tribulations as experienced by the Ancient Prophets. What befell Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky is a repeated customs of pure servants of Allah who stood firm in religious affairs.

The cleric lamented over how internal software played a major role in cheating religion and servants of Allah that hold strictly the affairs of the religion. He supported his statement by citing Qur’anic verse, making it clear how Allah( The Most High) admonished the Prophet on how to interact with internal enemies.

At the end of his lectures, he described Nigeria as nation that lack true leadership. Nigeria is a nation that is been ruled by set of human being that has no feeling to humanity. The one and only way to breach the dilapidating condition of Muslim and non-Muslim Ummah in Nigeria is to have leaders that are not ready to justify the wishes and evil plans of Western arrogance.
