15 brothers of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria all males arrested by the Police in Gombe state, yesterday Tuesday 10/9/2019, during the annual Ashura march in the state have been arraigned to Court today’s morning on trump up charges.
Some of them ware arrested after rain of bullets on them while staging peaceful Ashura procession and others at the residence of of the head of brothers of Gombe state Sheikh Muhammad Abbare.
At the Court session today Wednesday at about 12 p.m. , the brothers were charged with engaging in an illegal march on public road, clash with Security agents, and also attacking the Police with stones and weapons locally made up of an irons.
Among the brothers mercilessly arrested include aged man closed to 80 years.
At the end of the hearing, the presiding judge directed the securities to take the brothers to the Gombe central prison before 26th of this month for the continuation of the hearing.
Therefore, the hearing is deferred to 26th of September 2019.
It can be recalled Nigerian Police across many towns in Nigeria attacked the peaceful Ashura mourners, living over 60 innocent mourners fatally injured, and over 65 mourners among which include males, females, aged ones and under ages were indiscriminately arrested. The secuirty forces displayed their opposition and hate to the Shi’a Islam to please the wishes of their Masters- the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
