Court Adjourned the Hearing of Sheikh Zakzaky’s Case in Abuja

The Federal High Court, 6, in Abuja, has re-adjourned the hearing of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky’s case. The case was postponed yesterday, Tuesday, 20th of September, 2016, till 5th October, 2016, following a conference of Federal High Court Judges

 to flag off same day the court is expected to sit for the hearing which was Tuesday, 20/9/2016, in Abuja.

Both the counsels to the IMN and Federal government appeared before the panel. Responding to news men, the counsel to the IMN, Barrister Festus Okoye explained why the case was adjourned. He further acknowledged that, it is precisely 9 now months now, Nigerian government is detaining the leader. According to him, since the continued detention of the leader is as a result of life threatening in his residential area as they voiced out couple of months ago, then, why they government failed to take a drastic action against? The counsel categorically declared

that, he could not seen genuine reasons for continued detention of the leader and therefore described it as unconstitutional.
