Conference on Education Kicks up in Zaria.

The Education Committee of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has begun a five-day conference on education. The opening ceremony of the conference commenced on Wednesday 11th March, 2015 at Jannatu Darul Rahamah Cemetery, Zaria with a Lead Paper on Teaching Methods by Dr Isah Mshelgaru

 and Relevance of Psychology to Education by Umar Abdullah. The participants also attended Qur’anic Exegesis by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) at Hussainiyyah Baqiyyahtullah, Zaria. Participants at the conference comprises teachers of primary and secondary schools from all zones of the country.

According to the schedules of the conference, experts in education from renowned Nigerian Universities and Colleges of Education will deliver lectures on educational topics. The topics includes Teaching Methods in Adult Education, Records Keeping in School, Counselling Techniques, Elements of Classroom Management Plan, Philosophy and Objectives of Education, School Regulations, Discussions on Corporal Punishment, Conflict management in school, Strategies for developing moral behavior in school, Curriculum and Lesson planning, The role of ICTs in Teaching and Learning etc.

It is also scheduled that on Sunday 15th Match, 2015 the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria his Eminence, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) will deliver a closing lecture at Education Day Conference to be held at Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria.
