The grand birthday commemoration of the Leader of the ladies of the Worlds Sayyidah Fatimah Az-Zahra (SA) took place in Abuja on Sunday the 20th of Jimada Thani 1443 (23rd of Jan 2022).
Thousands graced the occasion. Merit and virtues of the beloved daughter of the holy Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon her and her pure progeny were outlined. Speakers include Prof Maimuna Husain, Sheikh Rabiu Funtua, Sheikh Abbare Gombe, Sheikh Munir and Sheikh Ahmad Lazare who gave a closing speech.
In her speech, Prof Maimuna outlined major challenges in family and domestic life nowadays. She emphasized on the need for a good family system due to increasing number of family crises, while taking Sayyidah Fatimah SA as a model for all and sundry. She said "the reason we meet here is to get way forward as only 40% f women facing various matrimonial challenges opened up while majority kept quite".
Maimuna added that its important to a get a group of people who will talk against all the bad manners going on in the society. She spoke on various categories and type of matrimonial homes saying a Consensus Home is the one in which love and care flourish for the fact that the husband is able to effectively control the house in a responsible and acceptable way.
She said Islamic Family System is for the benefits of all Muslims if adhered to, adding that happiness is contagious, if a man gives his family members happiness he will get happiness in return.
She condemn the habit of divorce which becomes rampant in the society now, where by a man drives away the wife and her children without concern. She said this is contrary to Islamic Family System as contained in the Shariah.
Prof Maimuna concluded by saying " We must find Solution to all this"
In her remark Malama Maryam Sani said the solution to all this menace is emulating the Leader of all women Sayyidah Fatimah Az Zahra peace be upon her and her family.
The second Speaker is Sheikh Rabiu Funtua who spoke further on family life which is declining by the day. He outlined some causes of family crises which he attributed it to conducting marriage against provision of Shariah right from the beginning.
In some cases, he said, a man marries a lady and sees her as house girl only to perform unnecessary domestic work.. He said a wife shall be treated like a glass or an egg which without proper handling it can break.
Domestic works, he added, are not compulsory on her by the provision of Shariah, but if she does so on her own accord there is no problem. Even breast feeding and cooking are not compulsory upon a wife, eh said
He called on Youths to know the responsibilities outline by Shariah system before engaging into marriage with a lady.
Other speakers include Sheikh Abbare Gombe who spoke on Bara’ah and Wilaah
The closing speech was deliverers by Sheikh Salihu Lazare from Niger Republic.
