Christian Women Attend Zahra’s Birthday in Kaduna

Christian women belonging to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Kakuri branch were in attendance at the annual Fatima Al-Zara( AS) Birthday organized by the Imam Hassan sub-unit of the Kaduna

 center of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria at Makera, Kakuri Kaduna, recently.

The spokes person of the women, also the chairperson of the CAN’s  women wing in Kakuri, Mrs. Nwachukwu, expressed gratitude for the invitation and called for unity peace and tranquility after a prayer for peace and understanding among adherents of various religions in the country.

In her well composed speech, the Christian women’s leader described Sayyida Zahra (AS) as a great Lady of honor and also made references to several women of great virtues mentioned in the Bible and called on women to emulate them and play their role in the society as mothers and backbone of it. She enumerated on the need for good training of children, healthcare and personal hygiene; while she called on women to reciprocate the efforts of the hard work of their husbands.

In appreciation of the references to women with good virtues in the Bible made by Mrs. Nwachukwu, Muslim Sisters’ representative of Imam Hassan sub-unit of the Kaduna center, Malama Aisha mentioned that those virtues are some of the numerous virtues of the Lady of honor Sayyida Zahra (AS) and, she expressed gratitude.

In his response, the head of the Kaduna center Malam Mukhtar Sahabi thanked the Christian women for attending the event and contributing in their own way. He explained that their presence at the occasion proves the enemies of progress in our society wrong and that, “we can still live together harmoniously” as he describes the conflicts afflicting the society as instituted and not real. He described the virtues of Sayyida Fatima (AS) as inexhaustible, due to her position and greatness before the Almighty God.

The Christian contingents were treated to a packaged feast and gifts that were offered to them by the head of the Kaduna center after they had pictures with some of the Muslim Sisters at the occasion.
