The weekly rally calling for the unconditional release of the Leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) had continued after the Friday prayers at Fagge Mosque on May 29th, 2020. Shaikh Sunusi AbdulKadir Koki speaking at the rally lamented on the unjust detention of Shaikh Zakzaky and his Wife Malama Zeenatuddeen by the Buhari led government despite order for his release and compensation by an Abuja Federal High court led by Justice Kolawole since December 2016.
Shaikh Zakzaky and his wife are still held in detention in Kaduna State prison in spite of their poor health condition which requires proper medical attention. The family of the Sheikh have been denied seeing him under the pretext of covid-19. “We are calling for their immediate release and would relent in demanding for his release, FREE SHAIKH ZAKZAKY!!!” Said Sheikh Abdulkadir Shaikh Sunusi revisited history in the month of Shawwal reminding Muslims of lessons from it some of which include the defeat of Amr ibn Abd-wud by Ameerul Muminen Aliy bin Abi Talib; the defeat which save Islam.
He also reviewed the ghaibah (occultation) of Imam Mahdi (AF) reiterating that all freedom loving people should remain on the straight path in order to be among his helpers. Shaikh Sunusi has also reminded the followers of Shaikh Zakzaky and Muslims to live to the challenges of the cold war, one of which is Zionism and western imperialism causing disharmony and disunity amongst them through different modalities such as spreading lies, rumor mongering, creation of conflicts etc.
A compilation of forty-hadith of the Noble Prophet (SAWA) by Shaikh Muhammad Turi titled “Zadul Muttakin” geared toward uplifting the spirituality of believers has been published and shown by Shaikh Sunusi in which youths, followers of Shaikh Zakzaky are encouraged to study, imbibe and emulate. In Kano arrangement are on the gear to even set up competition amongst the youths on this hadith book.
