Despite threat by security agents as Kaduna, terminated peacefully. kaduna is one of the cities where Shia religious minority are always deprived of their rights as regards peaceful marches in pursuance of justice for the gross injustice mated on them and their innocent leader, Sheikh Zakzaky.
Sheikh Zakzaky has spent over 3 and half years in detention despite a Federal Court ruling in December 2016, where the detainees are been vindicated and ordered their release, but it has not been yet complied by the authorities.
The protesters expressed that "We are therefore calling that the continued illegal incarceration of our leader is not the way out for the injustice committed. It is also immortal for the government to hide behind the facade that Sheikh Zakzaky all those being detained are currently standing trial on trumped up charges, therefore it is a matter before judiciary. This is unacceptable to us and all those behind justice in our nation. Sheikh Zakzaky should simply be freed".
