Birthday of Sayydiah Zainab held in Kano, That of her grandfather held in Bauchi

Sisters forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria held its annual birthday commemoration of Sayyida Zainab (AS) on Wednesday 9th Rabiul Thani 1437 (17th February, 2016) at Kano Markazul Islamiy with Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir as the Guest speaker. 

Malama Halima representing Malama Ummul Khair of Tijjaniya order and Malama Baraka of Qadiryya order also spoke at the occasion.

Malam Sanusi said that Sayyida Zainab (AS) is amongst the grand daughters of our Noble Prophet (SAWA) born on 5th Rabiul Thani to Imam Aliy (KW) and Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS). He outlned the pure lineage of Sayyida Zainab (AS) sighting verses and hadith of our Noble Prophet (SAWA) of the pure and infallible progeny she came from.

Mal Sunusi also explained the qualities of Sayyida Zainab (AS) which include her modest life style, knowledge and piety worth of emulation, Wisdom, Patience, brevity, braveness etc sighting various examples especially her stance against oppression and tyranny in the battle fields of Karbala and at the palace of yazid bin mu’awuya.

Her wisdom in her speech at the plain of Karbala and at  Yazid’s palace have till today played a model role to many believers that have

emulated her stance and has brought with it revolutionary change till today citing the Iranian Revolution and the recent Nigerian army

massacre of December 12-14th on Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) and his followers, with many expressing their grievances, support and getting to understand and follow the path of Ahlul- Bait (AS).

In the introductory speech Malama Maimuna Abdullahi said the yearly birthday commemoration is to celebrate and learn from her role

model life in which Shaikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi  do share with us yearly, however is not with us physically to share this year’s

celebration.
