Birthday Commemoration of Sayyidah Zainab (AS) Organized by Sisters Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in Kano.

The birthday celebration of Sayyida Zainabul Kubrah bint Aliy bin Abi Dalib (AS), organized by Sisters of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria Kano zone, was held at Markazul Imam Aliy Al-Ridha in Kano on Wednesday Jumadal Ula 8, 1442 (December 23, 2020).

Malama Amina Dalha and Mal Ishaq Gano were the guest speakers at the occasion.
In her introductory speech Malama Maimuna Abdullahi expressed gratitude to Allah (T) for witnessing another birthday of Sayyida Zainab (AS). Sisters Forum of Kano zone was the first to commemorate the birthday of Sayyida Zahra (SA) in Kano Zone which is now being commemorated in across the zone including neighborhoods, towns and villages zones.
Zainabul Kubra the daughter of Imam Aliy bin Abi Dalib (AS) and Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS) was born on Jumadal Ula 5th and was blessed to have seen and lived with the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAWA). The speakers reviewed her biography showing her legendry model, her steadfastness and firm belief in Allah and his apostle. She had been with Imam Husain (AS) and members of Ahlulbayt (AS) in the plain of Karbala. Her eloquent speech and her resistance to injustice in the palace of yazid will never be forgotten as she is a role model in standing against tyranny.
Today this exemplary role of Sayyida Zainab as shown by the great leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his followers has been an impetus in standing upright against the tyrants of the day.
The cutting of the birthday cake was done by Malama Maimuna and Malama Amina with the walima served to participants. Songs in praise of Sayyida Zainab (AS) were aired by Ittihadul Shu’arah of the Islamic Movement.
