Sister’s Forum of Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Kano zone on Wednesday 5th Zul Qa’adah 1436 (19/08/2015), marked the auspicious birthday of Sayyidah Fatima Ma’asuma (AS), junior Sister to Imam Aliy al-Ridha (AS). The event was held today at Hussainiyya, Kofar Waika, Kano in the morning.
Sayyidah Fatima (AS) was named Ma’asuma by Imam Ridha (AS) and also called and known as Muhaddisa because of her knowledge in hadith of Noble Prophet (SAWA) and his teachings.
Shaikh Muhammad M Turi the special guest speaker at the occasion in his speech gave a brief highlight of the illustrious short life of Sayyidah Fatima Ma’asuma (AS) who was born on 1st Zul Qa’adah, 173AH and attained martyrdom in the year 201AH.
He explained that, she lived a short life circle of 28 years after being poisoned and buried in Qum, Iran. “Today the resting
place of Sayyidah Ma’asuma is a visitation site for many visitors all over the world, and a reference point for accepted prayers on every legitimate needs”, he added.
Shaikh Turi also highlighted some exemplary way of life of Sayyidah Ma’asuma worthy of emulation, especially in the area of soul purification and striving towards getting closer to Allah (T) and practicing His dictates.
In her remarks, Malama Maimuna Abdullahi expressed happiness and gratitude to Allah for being among those upholding the message and practice of the Ahlul Bait (AS) under the guidance of Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).Shaikh Turi led the recitation of Ziyarah and cutting of cake in honour of Sayyidah Ma’asuma (AS), which was followed by a special feast.
Malam Maina made the closing prayer.
The birthday session venue was beautified with colourful garland and wreaths, while meticulous and well composed songs and poems of praise in honour of the of Ahlul Bait (AS) from Mustapha Limanci filled the air and thrilled the people as highlight of the event.
