Thousands of brothers and sisters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky took to the streets of Abuja, the capital territory, today Friday 14th of February 2020 to mark the annual birthday commemoration of Lady Fatimah (SA) and to renew calls for the freedom of leader of the Movement, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky and his wife who are still in illegal detention since Nigerian Army onslaught in 2015 in Zaria.
The protest kicked off this morning from Wuse Market as the protesters raise posters and banners and chanting slogans for the freedom of the leader, his wife and several other followers in detention since infamous Zaria massacre.
Further activities to mark annual Sayyidah Zahara’s event which was formally took place in the city of Zaria with street protest and lectures are to hold in Abuja with lectures and competitons, and songs of praise by poets of the Movement in honour of Sayyidah of Sayyidah Zahara’s birth Day.
