The annual Ashura mourning gathering continues at Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah Zaria with lectures from the Leader of the islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. He went ahead to narrate the event of Karbala where Imam Husain(AS) and his companions were martryed.
On Tuesday the 27th of November Sheikh explained how thousands army of Yazid sorrounded Imam Husain(AS), his children, companions who were few in number. He also explained the words of of Imam Husain calling the attentions of the killers of the gravity of the acts they were about to commit. However, they went ahead to kill the son of the prophet, family members and his companions who were 77 in number.
They were killed by Yazid while the women and children were taken to Yazid in Damascus as captives. He narrated the various events along the way from Karbala to Damascus.
On wednesday the 28th of November, Sheikh conducted the normal weekly Tafseer of the holy Qur’an. As usual matam was performed after daily after lectures.
