Annual Visit to Khalifah Almaghili in Kano

Muslim brothers of the Islamic Movement in Kano, led by Sheikh Sanusi Abdulqadir, paid annual visit  to the descendants of the Noble Prophet ( SAWA ) which occurs yearly in the Month of   Rabi’ul Auwal.  

 The visit had to be postponed from Sunday 2nd Rabi’ul Auwal 1437 (12/12/2015) to Sunday 22nd Rabi’ul Auwal 1437 because Shaikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi , who was to lead the team had attained marytrdom together with some followers of Shaikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky while protecting the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob El Zakzaky ( H ) from a military assult at his residence, Gyellusu, Zaria, Nigeria.

Khalipha Sidi Fari, the current Khalipha of Shehu Maghili, couldn’t make the brotherly speech as he shed tears remembering Sheikh Muhammad Turi who is no longer among the visitors.  

Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir lead the visitation team and were received by Shareef Hamza while Shareef Munzali made the welcome address. Shareef Hamza and Shareef Munzali in their speeches said ‘we really missed Shaikh Muhammad Turi, a man who spread message of brotherhood and affection; a man who  led the call to Muslims unity in practice.’

 

Sheikh Hamzah also described Mallam Turi as man whose love and affection to Ahlul-Bait (AS) can’t be overemphasized. He said ‘ I just can’t forget the last moment of my meeting with him at the Mauludin Nabiy ( SAWA ) celebration on Saturday 1st Rabi’ul Auwal 1437 (12/12/2015) when I saw him with a walking stick and jokingly said I have never seen you with a walking stick. His reply was its a farewell meeting and that was it’ .

In his remarks Mal Sunusi Abdul Kadir said  this year’s visit isn’t  the normal visit  but a visit  to request prayers of the descendant  of the the Rasoul  (SAWA ) against great atrocities of the Nigerian government on Shaikh Ibraheem Yaquob El Zakzaky ( H ) and his followers.

Shehu Maghili  (TR) is a descendant of Noble Prophet ( SAWA ) and also a Scholar that had lived in Kano during the time of Emir Muhammad Rumfa with his progeny living in Sharifai neighbourhood of Kano. Khalipha Sidi Fari oversees this great extended family in a neighborhood called Sharifai.

A closing prayers was made by Shareef Munzali and Khalipha Sidi Fari with Shareef Hamza escorting the entourage and bidding them farewell.
