Annual Qur’anic Recitation Competition Begins In Iran

The annual Qur’anic recitation competition has begun Tehran, Iran on Monday. This is the 31st edition of the competition being organized by the Islamic Republic of Iran among Muslim nations.

The event currently taking place at the national auditorium is being attended by Qur’anic reciters from over 70 Muslim countries around the world under supervision of 9 committees comprising of experts to ensure smooth success of the event.

There is also a fifteen-man committee of judges to regulate the conduct of the event, which comprises 5 judges from Iran and 10 from other countries.

This is an annual event by the Islamic Republic of Iran to encourage recitation of the holy Qur’an and its practical use among Muslims. The event is expected to end next week Monday.
