Abbas Musawi Wing of Martyrs’ Foundation Remembered Martyrs Of Ashura Day

The Abbas Musawiy wing of Martyrs’ Foundation of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria leads by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) commemorated staunch followers of the Movement who were indiscriminately killed by Nigerian authorities during several occasions of Ashura mourning processions and Arba’een marches.

 The commemoration was conducted to remember martyrs from Potiskum zone of the Movement.

The event took place yesterday Sunday 7th of Oct. 2019, in Potiskum Yobe state of Nigeria. It was well attended by multitudes of brothers and sisters from across the city of Potiskum.

Sheikh Dawud Azare, the head of brothers and sisters in Azare was the guest speaker.

Earlier, Malam Abdullahi Siminti of Martyrs’ Foundation Potiskum welcomed the guest speaker, prior to that he enumerated the duties of the Foundation. He also explained in brief the tasks of the Musawiy Wing which include but not limited  to seeing the smooth running of the affairs of families of martyrs in Potiskum zone of the Movement.

In his speech, Sheikh Dawud Azare described martyrs as servants of Allah who were specially chosen by Allah (The Most High) so as to elevate their status in the hereafter.
According to him, "These martyrs wholeheartedly sacrificed their blood for the course of this Movement, therefore, their families deserved all rights to be taken care of after them".

Sheikh Dawud enumerated the status and distinctions of martyrs in the sight of Allah in His infinite mercy. He therefore, reminded the attendants of their duties towards seeing proper upkeep of families of martyrs. He reiterated that martyr’s dues are supposed to be duly paid by all brothers on monthly basis as was established by leader of the Movement.
