Today Tuesday the 12th of September 2023 hundreds of Brothers marked General Sani Abacha’s 12 Sept 1996 atrocities. Abacha regime carried out a crackdown on the Islamic Movement thereby killing scores.
To date, the event is being commemorated annually to remember martyrs.
Activities include a lecture on the event and a visit to the graveyard of those killed by the regime where special prayers were said for the repose of the souls of the martyrs.
After the lecture today a visit to their graveyard at Bashar Neighborhood was conducted.
The names of martyrs killed by Abacha are as follows:
1- Shaheed Abdullahi Musa– 22 years
2- Shaheed Yusuf Musa T/Jukun – 20 years
3- Shaheed Usman Sulaiman Kwangila – 30 years
4- Shaheed Usman Ibrahim Waziri Samaru –24 years
5- Shaheed Salisu Abdullahi Gabari – 23 years
6- Shaheed Alhasan Badamasi D/Tagwai – 40 years
7- Shaheed Musa Muhammad Dumbi
8- Shaheed Jabu Muhyiddeen Kano.
9- Shaheed Ishak Salihu Mahuta
10- Shaheed Ashiru Yusuf Mahuta – 21 years
11- Shaheed Muhammad Auwal T/Wada Zariya.
12- Shaheed Aliyu Alhaji Sadau
13- Shaheed Abubakar Rabi’u – 2 and half years.
14- Shaheed Nuhu Adamu Dokan Mai jaki.
15- Shaheed Isa Musa Muciya
