I read the news item with the above caption from the Nigerian Tribune Newspaper of Friday (20/01/2017). Excerpt from the news item stated: “The Federal Government says public interest and security concerns are major reasons why leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zak zaky has not been released.”

Excerpt from the above news report also stated:
“The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Justice Gabriel Kolawola of an Abuja Federal High Court, in his judgment in December 2016, ordered the
Department of State Services (DSS) to release El-ZakZaky within 45 days. Kolawole also ordered the Federal Government to provide an accommodation for El-Zak Zaky, his wife and family members within Kaduna State or any part of the northern region.
The court declared the continuous detention of El-ZakZaky since December 13, 2015 as unlawful and illegal since the issue of protective custody was unknown to law or the National Security Agencies Act establishing the DSS.”

The Nigerian government under the leadership of President Buhari initially claimed that they are holding Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky for more than 13 months without trial for “protective custody” to “protect” him from hoodlums who wanted to harm him. It should be noted that it was not hoodlums who attacked the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky and killed hundreds of his followers, killed his 3 sons, killed his young Nephew and burnt his 70+ sister alive. It was the Nigerian army ably commanded by the Chief of army staff, Tukur Buratai, that attacked the residence of Sheikh Zakzaky on 13th December, 2015 and committed all the above mentioned heinous crimes and more.

Justice Gabriel Kolawole of Federal High Court, Abuja, debunked that claim of the Nigerian government and ruled against it. Then the Nigerian government is now telling Nigerians that they are holding Sheikh Zakzaky in illegal detention due to “public interest and security concern”. The first question is that why did the government gave the ” protective custody” reason as the reason for holding the IMN leader in detention? When the “protective custody” monument fraud was defeated in a competent court them the Saudi-backed Nigerian government made a decoy and resorted to another monumental fraud of “public interest and security concern”.

The second question is that did the Nigerian army slaughtered 1000+ Nigerian children, women, the aged and men in Zaria for the sake of ” public interest and security concern”? And did Kaduna state Governor Nasir Elrufai and the Nigerian army dumped the dead bodies of those 1000+ Nigerians they murdered in mass graves for “public interest and security concern”? If president Buhari, Elrufai and their gang of murderers committed these heinous crimes for “public interest and security concern” then why mass graves at night? They should have done it in the morning or afternoon so that the PUBLIC will cheer since the 1000+ Nigerians were murdered for their INTEREST!

And if I may ask who are the “public” in Nigeria? The overwhelming majority of Nigerians condemned the brutal and inhuman ZariaMassacre and the illegal detention of Sheikh Zakzaky by the tyrannical Nigerian regime then who are the “public”? Are the ” public” the murderous Wahhabi Savages that President Buhari, Elrufai and their gang of mass-murderers paid to attack and kill IMN members during the Ashura mourning ceremonies or the “public” are the murderous Wahhabi clerics who encourage and celebrate #ShiaGenocide in all part of the world or the “public” is the Savage King Salman of Saudi Arabia? Who are the “public”?

The brutal ZariaMassacre of 1000+ defenseless Nigerians was an imperialist agenda that has the Savage Saudi regime as a front and that is the main reason why the Nigerian tyrant Buhari is still holding His Eminence Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky in illegal detention for more than 13 months. Sheikh Zakzaky lost 3 sons killed by the Nigerian army in a peaceful pro-Palestinian rally in 2014 and President Buhari murdered his other 3 sons in 2015. Why did these evil men visited such a tragedy on this peaceful Nigerian Islamic scholar?

On a final note, the gross injustice of the continue detention of Sheikh Zakzaky despite Court order to free him is clear to all. Nigerians must understand that those who connived with imperialist powers and murdered 1000+ Nigerians and dumped their dead bodies in Mass graves at night are not patriotic and are not serving ” public interest “. They are murderous criminals who should spend the rest of their lives in International Criminal Court (ICC) jails.
