While delivering his inspiring speech, Sheikh Zakzaky first expressed condolence to the Muslim world and the oppressed on the demise anniversary of the one who changed the world view of Islam and other religions in the world adding that before the coming of the Imam Islam had no role in running the affairs of people and of course its lack of role in politics and system of governance.

This, he expressed, was largely due to communist interference and its effects on the people which saw religion as opium of the masses in which the adherents of such a view considered religion as a fabrication to control people. Sheikh Zakzaky explained further that  the coming of Imam Khomeini has changed all the wrong notions and restored the original status of Islam.

The leader of the Islamic Movement while speaking on the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam commended the effort of Jama’at-Islami Movement in Pakistan under Sheikh Abul Ala Maududu and that of Ikwanul Muslimeem under Sheikh Hassan Al_bannah  in creating awareness among the Muslims, though  they did not  reach their major aims. He highlighted that the two Movements faced enemy’s plots  pointing that enemies plots normally comes in two ways- either in  diverting  attention of the members of a  Movement  to them or  to use force.

Sheikh Zakzaky noted that the Islamic Movement in Nigeria is not spared from the two approaches where they tried to instigate fitnah and disunity amongst the followers but all in vain.

Another approach they now adopt amongst the followers is to create atmosphere of mistrust and accusations by propaganda in order to  make the already established bond of trust and brotherhood among members to be weak for them to penetrate, the leader added.

The leader concluded by expressing that the weapon of truth is the only tool of defense against all plots.
