The 3- day general Conference for the members of the Islamic Movement took place in Hadejia, Jigawa state from 19th to 21st of June 2009. Lectures by different scholars were delivered.
The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) delivered lecture on Saturday to thousands of people at the premises of Hadejia Palace. The leader, during the public lecture, spoke extensively on the current state of Muslims and Islam. The gathering in Hadejia was outstanding as some inhabitants of the town described it.
Sheikh Zakzaky spoke on the sympathetic situation of the Ummah which is characterized by deviation from the path of God and prevalence of injustice, moral decadence in a country with no basic amenities in addition to economic hardship- a state of affair which is on the increase at a speedy rate.
He also lamented on illegal acquisition of material wealth at the expense of ideals of honesty and human brotherhood; and the lost of respect, love and concern for human being.
The leader during his lengthy speech pointed out that it is the responsibility of the Ummah to live under the commands of Allah and to fully submit to Him while assuring the audience that injustice will never last for ever.
Sheikh the Zakzaky commended the effort of the people of Hadejia who resisted the invasion of colonial powers when they came to them in the past.
The leader expressed that generally people belongs to three categories when it comes to fighting injustice and oppression. The first category are those who take it upon themselves to fight injustice and corruption, while the second are onlookers, and the third category are those who don’t want the what the first category are doing.
The leader however urged people to be in the first category who fight injustice and not to belong to onlookers and or those who are against the effort.

He concluded by giving a tiding that victory will surely be achieved as injustice and oppression can never last.
Those who spoke during the three day conference include Malam Abubakar Nuhu who spoke on knowledge; Malam Muktar Sahabi gave a lecture on Islamic civilization; while Malam Adamu Tsoho talked on mujahada and spiritual training. Other include Malam yakub Yahya who spoke on family life and ethics and Malam Muhammad Turi talked on the mission of the Islamic Movement.
