Millions of faithful and conscious people worldwide heeded the call by the Hamas to hold rallies, and members of the Islamic movement in Nigeria organize such rallies where in Kano hundreds of thousands were in attendance, holding flags and banners depicting the fate of Al-Aqsa and the Palestinians.
Speaking at the rally in Kano on Friday the 9th October 2009,the representative of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) in Kano, Mal Muhammad Turi pointed out "we have gathered here to heed the call of our bretheren HAMAS in solidarity with the faith of Al-Aqsa". He spoke at length to the gathering at the rally after Friday prayers at Fagge Mosque, Kano, on the recent plots of the zionist entity i.e. the illegal state of Israel againt the 3rd holiest mosque of Muslim, and the Palestinians on the occupied land. He voiced out in strong terms disapproval and rejection by all Muslims in Nigeria like the world over on the continued plots that vary in proportions.
Of recent the illegal entity has increased its tyrannous act by preventing a large number of youths from praying at the holy mosque coupled with the intent of banning Friday prayers at the mosque. They have also intent to demolish and replace Al-Aqsa mosque with a so called Zionist synagogue. In trying to demolish the mosque they have for long planned to construct underground tunnels (evidences supported by video clips) that will lead to its collapse, likewise by setting fire on some portion of the mosque.
Mal Turi also highlighted the conspiracy in trying to delude the general Muslim by depicting Qubbatus-sahra’u (silver dome mosque) as masajidul –Aqsa (with an elaborate picture differentiating them), and gradually destroy Al-Aqsa leaving the silver dome. The Zionists have a long history of terrorism, it has been documented that they have killed 70 prophets, who else would they leave? Sheikh Turi lamented adding that weather there is really a solution to this very predicament? Would the Zionist tyranny continue unabated? Never !!!
Sheikh Turi pointed that Allah (SWT) has promised to safe guard the mosque just like He protected the mosque of Kaabah from the tyrant Abaraha and his cohorts. The sayings of the Rasoul (S) as narrated in Bukhari and Muslim- “this world shall not end until the Jews are conquered…..” have reaffirm high hope that tyranny will not last forever. What is expected of all Muslim is unity, solidarity and upholding the path of muqawamah (struggle), he noted. Mal Turi also elucidated how muqawmah in Iran, Lebanon and with the HAMAS have changed the tide of history.
Mal Turi further expressed that the history of Israel defeats in the hands of Hizbullah in 2001 and the recent 2006 defeat in the 34days war is quite vivid; HAMAS has taken the lead in Palestine. Despite the recent genocide in Gaza by Israel to take back their comrade, Gilat Shalit, the aggression was resisted by Hamas.
In a 2 minute video of Gilat brokered by Germany the price set for his release is 20 Palestinian women including a nursing mother.
A cross section of participants interviewed at the rally reiterated their resolute and support on the plight of Al-Aqsa and the Palestinians and happy with the expositions of Jews conspiracies.
